Dr Peter Hickey
Peter graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993 and has worked since then in North Queensland (Mackay, Cairns, The Cape and Torres Strait, and the Atherton Tableland). He has completed advanced training in rural general practice, and in obstetrics and gynaecology. He has a particular interest in general medicine, but also has many years’ experience in skin cancer surgery. Peter additionally works part-time for James Cook University as an educator for both medical student and general practitioners in-training. With his wife Carmel, Peter co-founded Eacham Medical Centre in Malanda in 2004.
Dr Carmel Hickey
Carmel undertook undergraduate medical studies at the University of Queensland and postgraduate training in womens health and general practice in Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands. She has experience in all aspects of general practice with an interest in womens health and palliative care.
Dr Kirsty McKenzie
Kirsty completed medical studies at University of Queensland, and has commenced General Practice training on the Atherton Tablelands following work at a number of greater Brisbane region hospitals.
Dr Malcolm Brown
Malcolm Brown completed medical training at the University of Wollongong and has worked at hospitals in Canberra and Cairns. He returned to the Atherton Tablelands for general practice training having greatly enjoyed life here prior to medical school.
